Francine Norris Obituary

Francine S. Norris, 62 years old, of Plattsburgh, NY passed away on March 15, 2023, with her husband, Bob, of almost 38 years by her side. Francine was born on January 10, 1961, in La Patrie, Quebec. She is the only daughter of Lise and Camille Lareau, and sister to Jean Lareau. She did not lose her battle with cancer but earned her freedom from it. A battle she fought heroically for over a year.

Her parents moved to Willimantic, CT when she was 5 years old, and she went on to graduate from Windham High School in Willimantic in 1979. She graduated with an associate degree from Manchester Community College in Manchester, CT and pursued her career in medicine as a Laboratory Technician. She worked several years at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT before ending her career at Eastern CT Hematology and Oncology (ECHO) running the Lab. She loved her work and was the loving smile seen by many doctors, nurses, co-workers, and patients. She was the supportive sports mom, all around incredible mom, and even more incredible wife. She loved listening to trains, watching the sunrise from her bedroom window, and walks/bike rides through wooded trails or by the lake. This was only surpassed by her love of Christ and her Catholic faith. Her love of Mary and the rosary led her husband on many searching expeditions through the bed in the morning searching for the finger rosary she used for her nightly prayers.

She loved her family dearly and was an incredible wife to her husband Robert (Bob) Norris Jr. of Plattsburgh, NY. She was a loving mother to her son Sean Norris of San Juan Capistrano, CA, daughter Kristyn Norris of Worcester, MA, and her predeceased daughter Heather Norris. She also leaves behind her parents, Lise and Camille Lareau of Willimantic, CT and her brother and his wife, Jean and Twila Lareau of Glastonbury, CT as well as their two children Jason and Justin Lareau.

Also mourning are members of her extended family, father and mother in-law Robert (Sr.) and Mary (Kay) Norris of Plattsburgh, NY, brother in-law David Norris of Plattsburgh, NY, and sister in-law and her husband Kim and Kelly Person of Colorado Springs, CO. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she loved, and who loved her dearly.
