François Fauteux, 75, longtime resident of Lebanon, beloved husband of Suzanne (Bibeau) Fauteux, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at home on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Born Joseph François Donald Fauteux on May 8, 1943 in Coaticook, PQ, Canada, he was one of the 14 children of the late Lucien and Lilianne (Inkel) Fauteux. A carpenter by trade, François worked for Partitions, Inc. of East Hartford for many years before retiring as foreman. In his spare time, he loved to camp and traveled extensively traversing the entire United States as well as Canada in his RV over the years. In addition to his loving wife of nearly 52 years, he leaves their two children, Nancy Bergeron (and her husband, Tom) of Lebanon and Ricky Fauteux (and his wife, Brenda) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Ryan and Katherine Bergeron and Benjamin and Grace Fauteux; as well as numerous siblings, extended family and friends. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Lebanon Food Bank, P.O. Box 182, Lebanon 06249. Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
