George Wark Obituary

George Michael Wark, 76, of Hebron, CT, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, June 25, 2021. He was born on February 17, 1945 in Biddeford, ME, to the late Alex and Gladys (Smith) Wark. George was raised in Caribou, ME and graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. After college, he honorably served our nation in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. In 1975 he married his wife Patricia (McMahon) Wark, and they settled down in Hebron where they raised their son Greg.

George is survived by his wife Patricia Wark of Hebron; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Melissa (Gaynor) Wark of Manchester, CT; sister Kathleen Tautznik of Chicopee, MA; sister-in-law Joyce Wark of Easthampton, MA; best friend of seventy years Dennis Cyr of East Hartford, CT; and numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Gerald Wark.
