Georgina Betsy Stoneburner, age 76, of Berlin passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 15, 2021 with her loving family by her side.  Born on December 27, 1944 in Bangor, ME, she was a daughter of the late William and Emma (Young) Stanley.  She married John Stoneburner who predeceased her on November 25, 2008.  Georgina retired several years ago after many years working as the beverage manager at Bowl-O-Rama.  She was a member of the Christian Assembly Ministries in NJ where her son, Robert serves as a Minister.  She was also a member of the Wethersfield Women’s Group, volunteering and decorating in town.  Georgina took great pride in her home, where she loved to plant and care for her flower gardens or feed and watch hummingbirds.  Georgina’s favorite memories were made with her family on the many vacations she took on cruise ships and to Disney World.  She will be remembered by her loved ones as a patient woman who enjoyed life to the fullest, never complaining but making the most of even difficult situations.  She was a woman of great strength of character, surviving cancer and other physical illness in later years with dignity and grace.  She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by three children and their spouses, John (Georgina) Lambert of Tuxedo Park, NY, Robert (Jayne) Lambert of Budd Lake, NJ, Maizie (Michael) Zame of Newington; twelve grandchildren, Melisa Barsch, Nicholas Gramegna, Zachery Zame, Carrie Williams, Jack Lambert, Christie Williams, Ciara Young, Jacklyn Stanley, Patty Williams, Georgina Misasi, Robert Lambert, Nancy Harrison; a host of cherished great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Grant Stanley and three sisters, Maizie Stanley, Ruth Stanley and Calvine Sanders.  Funeral services will be held at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester.  Walk through calling hours utilizing face covering and social distancing will be held on Sunday, Jan. 17th from 12 – 2 pm with a service at the funeral home immediately following at 2 pm.  Burial will be held privately.  Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.orgFor online condolences, please visit  www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
