Grace Beatrice Smith of Hebron, passed away on December 4, 2022 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was 80 years old. Grace was born on September 23, 1942 in Amesbury, MA, a daughter of the late Ralph and Beatrice (Lewis) Barrett. Grace married her husband David Alan Smith on October 21 1960. He predeceased her several years ago. Grace was an active member of the Hebron community, participating with the Sunshine Singers, the Senior Friends of Hebron and the Senior Center as well. She was a woman of strong faith and attended church at the Gilead Congregational Church where she also sang in the Choir. Grace loved all animals and was a contributor to many dog and cat rescue groups throughout her lifetime. She also loved painting and could often be found reading a good book in her free time. In her younger years, Grace loved being in the outdoors with her family, camping, hiking or fishing. She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children, Peter Smith of Rowley, MA, William Smith of Ipswich, MA, Deborah and her husband James Hunter of Amston; nine grandchildren, Remi, Shaun, Jesica, Taylor, David, Chelsea, Colby, Michael, Nathan, and Eric who she now resides with in heaven; great grandchildren, JAB, Olivia, Jodi, Grason, Magnolia, Camden; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and parent Grace was also predeceased in death by a brother, James Barrett and a sister, Shirley Nasman. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
