It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Jacob Allen Rucker. Born February 17, 1993, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT; Jacob attended and graduated Nathan Hale high school in Moodus in 2011. He was a former member of Future Farmers of America (FFA). Jacob will be remembered for his deep compassion and love for animals, his gentle nature made it easy for him to connect with them and put them at ease. He was extremely talented when it came to anything related to craftwork, over the years his talented hands produced numerous pieces of beautifully engraved glass, wood burning designs, photography projects and even knitting! Jacob will be forever loved and remembered by his mother Hope Brodersen; his brothers Jesse Rucker and John Rucker, III and sister-in-law Nicole Rucker; maternal grandparents Steve and Nancy Brodersen; his father John Rucker, Jr.; paternal grandmother Jacquelyn Rucker; nieces Cassie Rucker and Carli Rucker; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT. A time of remembrance will be observed at 4 PM at the Funeral Home.
