Jacqueline Shepard Obituary

Jacqueline Lee Shepard, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on February 6, 1950, in Spokane, Washington, Jackie grew up in California. She went on to live a life devoted to her family, faith, and the simple joys that brought those she held dearest together. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Gerard Shepard, in Seekonk, Massachusetts. Together they shared many dear memories, creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and cherished memories.

Jackie was a devoted homemaker who dedicated herself to supporting and caring for her family. She found great joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren and gathering with family whenever possible. Her home was often filled with the comforting aroma of homemade apple and pumpkin pies, which became treasured family favorites.

Jackie’s sewing skills brought creativity and happiness to those around her. She lovingly crafted costumes and other creations that reflected her patience, talent, and attention to detail.

Jackie and Jerry enjoyed many adventures together throughout their marriage. They especially loved taking day trips to New Hampshire and throughout Northern New England, taking time to appreciate the beauty of the region. Their travels also took them abroad, including memorable journeys to London and Italy that the couple treasured together.

A woman of deep faith, Jackie was a longtime communicant of Saint Joseph Church, where she found spiritual guidance and fellowship for many years.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, generosity, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those who knew her. Jackie's legacy lives on through the traditions she created, the memories shared, and the love she gave so freely.

Jackie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry, who passed away on June 19, 2020, and her sister, Patricia Christopher, who passed away in 2021.

Jackie is survived by her brother, Richard Charpentier; her beloved children, Sandy and husband David, and Thomas and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Colby Boothman Shepard, Robert Bates, and Matthew Bates; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Asher Bates, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. May she rest in eternal peace.
