Jacquelyn M. Lebel, 87, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Uconn Hospital in Farmington. Born December 10, 1934 in Bristol, CT; she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Genevieve Marcotte, and was known as “ROSE #1”. Jacquelyn was a graduate of Goddard College in Vermont. In 1991 she married her husband, Paul J. Lebel. Jacquelyn was a voracious reader and had an inquisitive mind, she held a deep belief that learning does not stop as we age, as was evident from her Mensa membership. Jacquelyn was a friend of Bill W’s for the past 45 years and was always available to support and help others who reached out. She was a co-founder the Bristol Chapter of the United Cerebral Palsy Association. Jacquelyn was a woman of strong faith, and for years was a communicant of St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church in Terryville. She was known for her thoughtful and handmade gifts, she could make anything when it came to crafts, particularly crocheting and embroidery. She will be forever loved and remembered by her Husband Paul J. Lebel of Florida, children Matthew Bilosz of Bristol, Wallis Johnson and husband Kenneth Johnson of Colchester. She is predeceased by her daughter Tracie-Mary Bilosz, who passed away in 1972. She is also survived by her sisters, the remaining “ROSES” Joyce Rayno of Southbury, Marilyn Buchanan of Bristol, Judith Landers of Florida and Rayette McMahon of Massachusetts; grandchildren Alexandra Johnson, Brice Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson; and numerous other extended family and friends. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 4-6 PM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415. The funeral mass will take place the following day, Wednesday April 13, 2022 at 11 AM directly at the St. Andrew Church, 128 Norwich Avenue, Colchester.
