James Gregory Kaiser

James Gregory Kaiser, fondly known as “Jimmy”, passed away at his home in Portland, early Sunday morning on November 12, 2023.  He was 62 years old.  Jimmy was born in Groton, CT on August 2, 1961.  He was a son of the late John and Judy (Ibrahim) Kaiser.  He grew up in Colchester and graduate from Bacon Academy.  Jimmy married Kathleen Dowling in 1994 The couple lived in Newington for a time and later relocated to Portland.  Jimmy worked in various jobs over his career, some of which included HVAC, Baldwin Furniture, and Fox & Becker Granite.  In his free time he enjoyed bowling and he bowled with a league in Newington.  Jimmy was an animal lover, especially his pet dogs and cats.  He also loved music and playing his guitar.  He will be remembered as a fun loving man with great sense of humor.  A celebration of Jimmy’s life with calling hours will be held at a later date to be announced at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester.  To sign the online guest book or share a memory Jimmy, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
