Jean (Kuchy) Len, age 95, of Bozrah, CT passed away on January 17, 2025. She lived in Connecticut for most of her life. Together with her husband of 63 years, Frank Len, owned and operated “Len’s General Store” which was a local landmark at Salem 4 Corners, in Salem, Connecticut. They were well known and respected in the community.

Jean leaves behind her niece Julia Armstrong and her husband Art, niece Barbara Wisniewski and husband Eddie, Marie Piatnyczka and companion Bill Stankiewicz, nephew Dennis Kuchy and his wife Marie, nephew Jonathan Kuchy and wife Patti, Niece-in-law Maureen Kuchy along with numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Katherine Kuchy, her sister Pauline (Kuchy) Piatnyczka and her husband Trochym Piatnyczka, brother John Kuchy and his wife Olga Kuchy and a nephew Gregory Kuchy.

Jean was a friend to many and shared her love of life without reservation. While appreciating the modern world she had a strong attachment to old time traditions and looked forward to the arrival of the annual Farmer’s Almanac. She would jump at the chance to work on a puzzle, was a budding artist and collected antiques. Both Jean and Frank had a fondness for flea markets, antique shops and country fairs and would happily load up their RV and head off on an adventure. Jean and Frank spent their retirement years between Colchester CT and Rockledge, FL where they shared their days with many friends.

Visitation on Tuesday, January 21st from 5 to 7 pm at Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home at 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 11 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Colchester, meeting at the church. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Rt. 85 Colchester, CT.
