Jeffery Lyn Coutant

Jeffery Lyn Coutant, 65, of Ashford, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. Born July 3, 1956 in New Britain, Connecticut; he was the son of the late Burton and Alberta (Bodley). He was a graduate of New Britain High School. For years he worked as a warehouse manager. In 1999 he married his wife, Sharon Waite, the couple started their lives together in Dayville, CT.  In 2007 they fulfilled Jeff’s life-long dream of living in the mountains of New Hampshire by building their dream home where they lived for 10 years. With medical needs putting life into perspective, the couple moved closer to family centralizing themselves in Ashford, CT. Jeff held a deep appreciation for nature, he loved to hunt, fish, or just sit outside and take in the natural beauty of the outdoors. He loved even more, to be able to share this passion with his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his wife Sharon Coutant of Ashford; daughter Justine Denomme and husband Justin Denomme of Rhode Island, son John Coutant of Plainfield,  daughters Brandi Jordan and husband Phill of Mansfield, Andrea Garrison and husband Adam of Ashford; Sister Linda Steiner and husband Dave of East Berlin; grandchildren Brayden, Alex, Brian, Phill Jr., Dustin, Skylar, and Kamden; and great-grandchildren Reese, Anakin and Bray; his dog Lexi and cat Kameo’s Shadow; and numerous other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Living Proof Church, 38 Pompey Hollow Rd. Ashford CT, Saturday November 27th at 11am.
