It is with great sadness, we announce that Jennifer (Doran) Mancini, 47, passed away on December 13, 2023, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jennifer was born on February 8, 1976, in Manchester, CT. Jennifer was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Marines from 1994-1998. She worked as an Environmental Waste Coordinator at Strategic Environmental Services for eight years and prior to that was employed by ProTeck.

Her children, Maddy and Owen were her every breath and she cared for them deeply from her heart and soul. She was a dedicated soccer and baseball mom, serving as a coach for their AAU Travel teams. She was a physical fitness enthusiast at Crossfit Playground in Colchester. Jennifer loved hanging out with friends and frequently visiting the local casinos. She will be remembered for her positive outlook on life, her sense of humor and the loving way she cared for her family and friends.

Jennifer is survived by her beloved children, Madeline and Owen Ives, her mother, Deirdre St. George of Colchester, her brother, Brian St George, and his wife, Jeannie, of Meriden, CT, her father Richard and wife Maria, siblings, Nathan and Christina Wright of Rialto, CA, and many cousins, aunts and

uncles.

Jennifer was blessed to have her sister-in-law, Jeanie St. George, a loving and compassionate nurse, by her side, ensuring Jen received the best of care. Her love and kindness not only helped Jen but has been a great comfort to Jen’s children and the entire family.

The family would like to thank Lynn LeBlanc for her love and support for Jen and her children. We would also like to thank Jen’s many close friends and neighbors in Colchester who have supported her and her children.

We also appreciate the care given to Jen by Hartford Healthcare Hospice.

Feisty right up to the end, Jen gave cancer a fight like it’s never seen. Semper Fi, Jen!

Funeral services will be held at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, with calling hours on December 23, 2023, from 10-12 pm, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 12 pm. Burial with full military honors will follow in New St. Andrew Cemetery, Gillettes Lane, Colchester. Donations in Jennifer’s memory may be made to benefit her children’s education.
