Jennifer Lynne (White) Mocksfield, more fondly known as Jen, of Colchester, passed away on April 29, 2023, at Hartford Hospital, after a valiant struggle with auto immune illness. She was 53 years old. Jen was born in Manchester, CT on December 31, 1969. On October 4, 1997, she married the love of her life, Alan Charles Mocksfield. The couple settled in Colchester where they made their home and raised their two sons. Jen was actively involved with her sons as they grew. She was president for the school PTO and she was an organizer and fundraiser for their Lacrosse team. Jen was their biggest fan and they were her greatest joy. She retired due to her progressing illness after having worked as an accountant at RHAM Public School in Hebron. She truly enjoyed her vocation, and she worked tirelessly organizing and fundraising for the students there as well. In her free time, Jen loved doing SUDOKU Puzzles or spending time on Cape Cod or near the ocean. Her loss will be mourned by many, especially by the family she was ever devoted to. She leaves her husband of 25 years, Alan; her sons, Noah Mocksfield of Colchester, Owen Mocksfield of Moneta, VA; her mother and "dad", Gail (Brooks) and Philip Garceau of Vernon; a brother, Jeffrey (Jill) White of Tucson, AZ; step-sister, Deborah Rose of Guilford; step-brother, Dennis (Julie) Garceau of Vernon; maternal grandparents, George and Gwen Brooks of Manchester; aunt, Bonnie Brooks of Glastonbury; paternal grandmother, Beatrice White of Manchester; uncle, David (Susan) White of Coventrey; sister and brother-in-law, Gail (Robert) Royer of Hebron and a host of extended family members and friends. A celebration of Jen’s life will take place on Friday May 5th Beginning at 4 pm at St. Joseph’s Polish Society, South Main St., Colchester. The celebration will be a casual event, if you would like please bring a memory of Jen to share.
