John Joseph Albert was born to Joseph and Edith (Bolton) Albert on July 9, 1954 and raised in shoreline towns in Connecticut. He passed peacefully from this life into eternity at home on June 11, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Arnold) and beloved children Kirsten Belisle, Trevor (Trista) Albert, Aaron (Amy) Albert along with his stepchildren Erika (Robert) Simmons and Luther (Megan) Brauch. In addition John leaves his siblings: Donald (Ruth) Albert, Richard (Jennifer) Albert, Joseph (Laura) Albert, Mary (William) Ferris, and James Albert. He also leaves five grandchildren: Skylar, James, Teagan, Taylor, Everett and Max. John was predeceased by his brother Raymond and his stepson Richard Brauch. His dog Ellie is left to miss him, especially at mealtimes. John was involved in the construction industries, starting with his own company and later in life worked for commercial firms on major projects around the country. John was a well- respected fire arms safety instructor for the NRA teaching over 4000 people and 1000 instructors in his lifetime. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter who often turned what he harvested into delicious meals for family and friends. John was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and savored the experience of serving two missions for the Church in the BYU Pathway International Program in which he helped adults transition to college and attain degrees. John placed great worth on a simple life of home, family, faith and was known for his stories, his kindness, generosity and candor. Burial will be at 10:00 Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Rd, Lebanon, CT. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 , 7:00 in the evening at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 597 Scotland Rd, Norwich ,CT.
