John William Lennon

John W. Lennon, 73, of Colchester, passed away after a long illness, on February 15, 2018 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice.  He was born in Bridgeport, CT on June 18, 1944.  John was the only child of the late John and Barbara (Brodacki) Lennon.  Mr. Lennon retired several years ago after being self-employed, owning and operating Lennon’s Grocery Store in Monroe, CT for many years.  John loved to play Cribbage.  He fancied himself a ladies man, charming and charismatic, always the gentleman, especially to his companion of 24 years, Louise Curri, with whom he made his home and who will remember him with love.  Per John’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately.  The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements.
