Joseph John Bartucca Obituary
Joseph John Bartucca, 71, of East Haddam, passed away at home on the morning of Monday, November 18, 2024. Born July 5, 1953, in Bristol, CT; he was the son of the late Joseph Anthony Bartucca and Elizabeth (Quick) Bartucca Marselle. Joe attended Nasson College in Sanford Maine where he obtained his bachelor's degree in psychology. While he was a student, Joe would man the local college radio station as an announcer and part time DJ, this led to him and several other radio workers forming the SMBC (Saturday Morning Breakfast Club). Later on in life he and several friends would form similar groups out of an ironic sense of humor, one of the most notable being the “Durin's Bane” motorcycle club. Shortly after graduating from College, he spent time working in multiple restaurants, to working his way up to a financial manager for dealerships. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his favorite team the New York Yankees, listening to music, collecting photographs, and spending time with friends and family. Joe is survived by his wife Laurie Bartucca; daughter Joelle Bartucca and her partner Adam Stanulonis; his sister Elizabeth and husband Normand Paul; niece Aubrey Paul and fiancé Patrick Homer; his best friend of over 40 years Fred Hunt and his wife Pam Hunt and their daughter Heather Hunt; and numerous other extended family and friends. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held in the spring/summer: to be announced at a later date. To sign the online guestbook please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
