Joseph Montgomery, Jr., of Moodus, passed away on February 26, 2026. He was born in Middletown, CT on March 11, 1958, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Montgomery. He was a resident of the Caring Community in Colchester where he had many friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, taking walks, and making puzzles. He was a Special Olympics Bowler and had several medals that he cherished.
Joseph will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by his siblings and their spouses; Barbara (Peter) Conti, Patricia (William) Readon, Betty Lou (David) Miller, Katherine Brooks, and John Montgomery; his friends and the staff at Caring Community; and numerous extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Stanley.
A visitation will be held at the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home on March 2, 2026, from 10am 12pm. A burial will be held at a later date.
