Judith A. Ellis

Judith (Judy) A. Ellis, age 70 of Colchester, passed away on January 21, 2021, at Backus Hospital in Norwich, after an extended illness.  Judith was married to Terrance Ellis, who pre-deceased her in 2014.  She retired several years ago after a long and successful career as a medical assistant with Dr. Jan J. Akus.  She leaves to mourn her loss two step daughters, Cynthia Duprey(Mark) and Diane Buttimer; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren, three very dear friends, Lynda Ruszala, Tina Sklar, Janice Felciano and numerous extended family and friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a step daughter, Deborah Schools and grandson Jason Schools. Judy will be remembered as a good friend who loved getting together for lunch, day trips and card games.  Funeral services will be held privately, according to her wishes.  The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements.  For online condolences, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
