Karen Tuck Briggs, 64, of Colchester, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born November 14, 1956 in Lincoln Maine; she was the daughter of Lloyd and Rosemarie (Hanington) Tuck. Karen was a graduate of Bacon academy. In 1981 she married her husband Edward Briggs. She attended the Center for Culinary Arts in Cromwell and shortly after she began working at the Kraft Steak restaurant at Foxwoods Casino. She then continued her culinary education at Manchester Community College. Karen was a spiritual woman and was a communicant of the Colchester Federated Church, and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Church. She had a passion for being in the kitchen. She would often attend Monday night quilting classes with her friends, and was always baking something, showing her love for friends and family through her food. When she wasn’t baking she could be found adding stitches to her current quilting project. She is survived by her loving husband Edward Briggs of Colchester; her parents Lloyd and Rosemarie Tuck; children Cassandra (Richard) Marvin of Colchester, Dominick Sanzone, April (Rex) Walden of East Hampton; stepchildren Jamie Briggs of Colchester, Jessie (Dan) Kupersmith of Ariziona, and Shane Briggs; brothers Alan Tuck of Lebanon, Evan Tuck, and Glen (Nadine) Tuck of Colchester; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; neices and nephews and family and friends. Walkthrough calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester.
