Kathryn Anne Houra-Csisar, 43, of Colchester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 5, 2021. Born October 24, 1978 in Middletown, CT; she was a daughter of the late William Houra, Jr. and Carol Slater. Over the years Kathryn worked in several different positions, for a time she was a laborer for a landscaping company, and crafted instruments for Chefield Ministries, and worked at Cohen's Fashion Optical in the Crystal Mall. She was known for her exceptional skills in the kitchen when it came to cooking and baking and having an eye for picking out vintage items on one of her many antiquing trips. In her spare time loved to be outdoors, whether it was out on the hiking trails, or tending to her garden. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughters Carolyn Csisar and Megan Tripp; sister Charlotte McAlpine; grandmother Anne Houra; aunt Linda Erlandson, and uncles Frank Houra and Edward Houra; cousins Sarah Houra, April Houra; nieces and nephews Jake, Savannah, William, Aidan, Kevin, Christopher and Ashlee McAlpine, Jemma and Octativa Currier, the fathers of her children Jeff Csisar and Jeremy Tripp; A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10AM to 12PM directly at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415.
