Lillian Elizabeth Adams Obituary

Lillian Elizabeth Adams, a lifelong resident of Lebanon, passed away suddenly on August 15, 2024.  She was 77 years old.

Lillian was born on September 5, 1946, in Hartford CT.  She was a daughter of the late Pauline and Arthur Davoll.  Growing up in Lebanon, Lillian attended school there and graduated from Lyman Memorial High School, where she would meet and marry the love of her life—Wayne Lewis Adams.  Never moving far from their roots, the couple made their home and raised their family in Lebanon as well. In their younger years, Lillian and Wayne enjoyed motorcycle riding together.  Wayne predeceased her on February 9, 1995, after 31 years of marriage.

Lillian was a true homemaker. In her younger years, she worked at Brand Rex, and when her children were older, Tri Town Market in Westchester.  Taking pride in and loving care of her home, beautiful plants, and especially her family was always her top priority. She could usually be found on her deck fussing with her flowers, or in her kitchen, cooking and baking. She was especially known for her Three Bean Casserole and Pineapple-Banana Dream Cake. Her home was always open and welcoming to one and all.

She will be remembered fondly for her kindness and for the way she lovingly treated everyone as family—friends and strangers alike.  Lillian will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children and their spouses, Tammy Adams of Florida, Ronda Adams-Blantz (Harold) of S. Windham, Lloyd Adams of Chattanooga, TN, Connie Bastiani with whom she made her home in Lebanon, and Shane Adams (Kelly) of N. Windham; siblings, Arthur Davoll and Cathy Davoll; her adored grandchildren with whom she was lovingly known as “Fluffy”—William, Ashley and Kelsey Porucznik, Nik and Josh Adams, Michael and Andrew Zuraw, Anthony and Guiseppi Bastiani, Meagan, Breana and Tyler Adams, Dylan and Alyssa Tommasi, Harold III, Justin and Christian Blantz, Veronica Bean; six great- grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, Lillian was predeceased by two siblings, Bill Chapman and Charles Davoll.

Lillian’s family will receive friends from 9:30AM-11AM on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester. A funeral service for Lillian will be celebrated at 11AM at the funeral home following the visitation period. Burial will follow the service at New Lebanon Cemetery.
