Lillian Ruth Garthwait, of Willimantic, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born March 31, 1958, in Windham, CT to the late George and Ruth Knudsen.
In 1988, she married Donald Garthwait, and they made their home in Willimantic, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed taking walks with her husband. She loved cats and would feed any stray cat who came to her door.
Lillian will be deeply missed but always remembered with love by her husband Donald of Willimantic; her sisters Barbara and Susan; her sister-in-law Darlene; and numerous extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Tina and Beatrice.
