Linda Marie Boucher, 84, of Uncasville CT, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. Linda was born October 10, 1939 in Putnam CT.  She is the daughter of the late Rose (Martin) Redfern and Nelson Redfern of Enfield, where Linda resided for many years. Linda is survived by her children and their spouses. Daughter June White (Jeffrey Haggerty), Son James White (Julie), Granddaughters Meaghan White and Katelyn White, and her special friend Daniel Balser who was like a son and called her every day. Linda was predeceased by her parents, her husband Desire Boucher, brother Nelson Redfern and beloved cat of 19 years, Precious. Linda enjoyed gardening, her flowers and watching the birds feed and play through her picture window. She spent many years camping on Gardner Lake where she and her husband enjoyed fishing, and hosting family and friends. Linda was a very independent, social person who enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors. Linda was a life-long Red Sox fan. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 9th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A memorial service from 4:00pm until 4:30pm at Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester, CT. A gathering will be held at St. Joseph’s Polish Club, 395 South Main St, Colchester, CT.  immediately following the service.
