Linda S. (Smigiel) Johnston

Linda S. Johnston, age 74 of Colchester, passed away on May 10, 2021 at Marlborough Health and Rehab Center.  She was born in Middletown on August 21, 1946, a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Zembko) Smigiel.  Linda retired several years ago after a career at the CT Mutual Insurance Company as a case manager. Prior to working in insurance, Linda owned and operated Colchester Florist.  She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Chris Markovitz of Colchester; a grandchild, Chance Markovitz of Colchester; two sisters, Debbie Smigiel of Glastonbury and Shirley Jakoboski of Rocky Hill; and many extended family members and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4-7pm at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester.  For online condolences, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com.
