Livia Valenzuela Obituary

Livia Valenzuela, of Salem, passed away on September 16, 2025, with her family by her side.  She was born on February 17, 1933, in El Pueblo es Huichihua, Peru.  She was the daughter of the late Paulino and Ramunda Valle. After school, she worked on and owned the former Stula Family Farm in Colchester. She married Uriel Valenzuela, who sadly predeceased her in 2012.

Livia was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. Josephs in Hartford. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her vegetable gardens. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered as a caring and doting mother and grandmother.

Livia will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her son, Toriano Valenzuela of Salem; her grandchildren Mary Jo Martinez of Simsbury and Melissa Valenzuela of Niantic; her sister, Irma Flores of Manchester; and many extended family members and friends.

Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home on Friday, September 19th from 9-11am with a service to follow at 11am.
