Loretta Margaret Bleau, 95, of Oakdale, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at her home with her beloved family by her side. Loretta was born on January 25, 1928, in Chicago, IL. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Murtaugh) Gnapp. She married her beloved husband, Harlan A. Bleau on October 19, 1969. The couple settled in Oakdale where they made their home and raised their children. Harlan predeceased her. She retired several years ago after a long career working in the laundry and kitchen at the St. Thomas Moore School, which she loved very much. She was a faithful communicant at Our Lady of Lakes Church in Oakdale and also St. Andrew Church in Colchester. She was devoted and she loved her family dearly. She will be sadly missed by her children and their spouses, Henry (Christine) Kaiser, Dennis (Mary) Kaiser, Joseph (Cindy) Kaiser, Arlene Gosselin, Loretta Pintal, Karen Prichard, Julia (Tony) Ruffo, Theresa Szankovics; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; especially Kassaundra Pintal (Ricky). Numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Larkin and two sons, Mark and Marvin Bleau, and all of her siblings, Virginia, Bob, Richard, Steve, Gerry, Eleanor, Marie, Bud and Bettyjean. Funeral services will be held at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester on Friday, December 22nd with calling hours from 11 – 12:30 followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 12:30 PM. A burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich, followed by a catered gathering at the Maennerchor Club, in Taftville.
