Louie Lenti, 94 years young, passed away at Hartford Hospital on April 11th surrounded by family. He was born in 1931 to Theresa Santamore and John Lenti. He had a stepsister, Mary. Louis grew up on the Lenti Family Farm in Manchester, CT where he worked to take care of the dairy cow herd. He served in the military and was a US Army veteran. Louis met the love of his life, Ruth, and had 42 years of marriage. He lovingly embraced her family and helped raise her daughter, Carolyn Getz and her children. They opened Ruths Restaurant in Hartford and ran the business from 1955-1960. Louie was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Lisa Madsen (Pete), Michele Landry (Bill Johnson), Reed Perkett (Tricia). Louies generosity and witty sense of humor was felt by many who knew him. He was very trusting and generous to friends and family he loved. He worked many years in demolition with Dunn Brothers and then Manafort Demolition Co. until his retirement. Louie was known for his jokes, work ethics and industrial saw skills. After his wife passed, he had a copper stripping company in his barn along with cleaning and selling pallets of bricks. He enjoyed his side kick and beloved dog, Jessie and many stray cats.
