Margie Lee (Vassak) Delpivo, 87, of Colchester, CT passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Apple Rehab in Colchester. Born August 26, 1937, in Carmel, NY; she was the daughter of the late Andrew Vassak and Clarice (McVey) Vassak. Margie grew up in Thomaston, CT on her family's farm and was a 1955 graduate of Thomaston High School. She married her husband, Louis Delpivo in 1956, the young couple met at a funeral and began dating shortly after. They spent 25 years of their married life in Naugatuck, CT before moving to Colchester, CT in 1981. They would have been married for 69 years this year 2025 on April 14th. Margie was devoted to her faith and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1953. She will be remembered fondly as the "mitten lady" within the community for both her talent and number of mittens and other handmade knitted items that she would give to family members and friends. She is survived by her husband Louis Delpivo; their children Richard Delpivo; Robert Delpivo and wife Bridget, and Cindy (Delpivo) Mellor and husband Brian; her grandchildren, AJ Delpivo and wife Amber; Kyle Delpivo and daughter-in-law Marjorie Delpivo; along with numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Tina Delpivo. Louis can't say thank you enough to those who helped Margie during these last years from Middlesex Heath at home, especially Adela, Alice and Virginia. Along with the Apple Rehab staff, especially Dawn.

Calling hours will be held on April 14, 2025, from 4 to 6 PM at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 297 Westchester Rd (Route 149) Colchester, CT 06415.
