Marjorie O'Loughlin Obituary

Marjorie “Marj” O’Loughlin. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Freda (Rogerson) Clark and Daniel J. Clark. Graduated from Mercy Business College and worked as an executive secretary. Married John J. O’Loughlin in May 1955 and later became a stay-at-home mom to raise their four children.

Relocated to Sparta, NJ, in 1973, returned to school in 1980, and earned an AAS degree and RN in 1982. She was employed as a staff nurse, later becoming a nursing supervisor, until her retirement in 1994.

John and Marj moved to Amston/Hebron, CT, in 2003 and were active communicants at Church of the Holy Family in Hebron. John died in 2007.

She is survived by three children, Brian and wife Julie, Susan Townley, Kevin and wife Heather, Daughter-in-law, Teri Nofer; 12 grandchildren, Seth, Paul, Lauren, Kevin, Erin, Andrew, Eric, Kira, Tia, Chase, Madi, and Mason, and her Great- grandson, Miles.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Marj was predeceased by her brothers, Philip Clark and Richard Clark; her sister, Sister Patricia Mary Clark (RSM), and her son, Denis.

Services for Marjorie (Marj) will be held on Thursday April 29, 2021 at the Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church St, Amston, CT.  Calling hours will be at 10:00am and Mass will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown CT at 1:00pm.
