Martin Morgenstein, of Lebanon, passed away on March 23, 2023 at Middlesex Hospital after a long and difficult struggle with illness. He was 93 years old. Born on January 8, 1930 in Manhattan, NY, a son of the late Harry and Bella (Bryck) Morgenstein. He met the love of his life, Janice Goroshnik while she was in Middle School and married her on 5/27/1951. They shared a life filled with adventure and family love. Martin was a proud veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a self-made man and entrepreneur, working in many different capacities over his career. Martin worked at the family hardware store Bozrah Home and Hardware, up to the age of 90. He was an avid supporter and volunteer for children’s art and music programs, as well as battered womans shelters in the area. Martin will be remembered with love by his wife of 72 years, Janice Morgenstein; his children and their spouses, Steven (Henrietta) Morgenstein, Maureen (John) Noblet, David (Anais) Morgenstein, Robin (Jim) Page; a brother, Byrd (Vicki) Morgenstein, sisters, Faye (Paul) Sherman, Betty Gitt; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jason, Pamela, Matthew, Jamie; great grandchildren, Adrian, Kylie, Ava, Jordan, and Justin; and numerous extended family members and friends. The graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 26th at 1 PM directly at Ahavath Achim Cemetery, Taintor Hill Road, Colchester.
