Mildred June Misbach, “Midge”, age 82, of Lebanon, passed away with her loving family by her side, on June 4, 2020, at Covenant Living in Cromwell. Born in Port Chester, NY on February 17, 1938, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Rose (Zaccagnino) Gareri. Mildred grew up in NY and graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1956. She later went on to study at the Connecticut Business Institute. She moved to Derby, Connecticut in 1962, where she raised her three girls. Mildred married her beloved husband Frederick Misbach on July 25, 1982. The couple shared 36 years of marriage before he predeceased her on Dec. 14, 2018. Mildred retired several years ago after a long and varied career. She worked in secretarial departments at the TIAA in NYC, Bradley School in Derby, and finally retired after a 20 year career as an administrative assistant at Yale New Haven Hospital. Mildred enjoyed life in Lebanon where she and her husband “Bud” enjoyed their retirement years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a Girl Scout leader, and former executive member of the PTA. She was also a member of the Winnebago Club and the Branford Yacht club where the family often motored to Block Island on their boat, “The Midgaboo”. In later years, Mildred was a member of the Lebanon Senior Center where she loved playing Setback card games. Mildred had a deep appreciation for music and the theater, which she loved to attend with family and friends. She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children, Michelle (Thomas) Kachmarck, Eileen (James) Martin, Renee (Robert) Misbach, Frederick Misbach III, Cheryl (Paul) Apuzzo, Ronald (Karen) Misbach, Roger (Ellen) Misbach, Russell (Karen) Misbach; 15 grandchildren, Aimee Jeanette-Bimonte, Nicholas Jeanette, Nicole Henderson, Brian Kachmarck, Paul Apuzzo, Jakob Misbach, Catherine Misbach, Kelly Osterling, Christa Delmonaco, Joseph Delmonaco, Briana Misbach, Allison Misbach, Alex Misbach, Margaret Misbach, Nicholas Thompson; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held privately. The Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester has been entrusted with care of arrangements.
