Mildred “Millie” Estelle Quinn, of East Haddam, passed away on September 7, 2022. She was 88 years old. Born in Oak Tree, NJ on June 2, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Katherine (Day) Shuster. Millie was the widow of Ronald William Quinn having been married since May, 9, 1953 and widowed in 2017 after they shared 62 years together. Millie retired in 2004 after serving for 30 years as the Town Clerk for the town of East Haddam, CT along with being the secretary for the Zoning Board of Appeals for more than 20 years. She will be remembered as a hard working woman who was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to one and all in the community she loved so much. Her loss will be mourned by many, especially her children, Cynthia Quinn and Russell Perkins, William and Carleen Quinn, Diane Quinn and William Perkins, Sr., all of East Haddam; a sister, Irene Covey; five grandchildren and their spouses, Sean and Becky Scrivens, Amy and Kenny Pfaffenbach, Anna and Derek Tromza, Ellen and Jon Rose, Bryan Quinn; great grandchildren, Damien Scrivens, Talan Scrivens, Adalynn Scrivens, Mason Pfaffenbach, Ryder Pfaffenbach, Haylee Tromza, Lydia Duffy, Clara Duffy, and Weston Rose; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Millie was predeceased by three siblings, Edwin Shuster, Jr., Katherine Kuhne, and Helen Wenskoski. Funeral services will be held at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester on Tuesday, September 13th beginning at 10 AM with calling hours followed by the funeral service at 11:30 at the funeral home.
