Patricia Yvonne (Young) Hodge

Patricia Yvonne Hodge, age 81, of Colchester, passed away on September 7, 2020 at the Marlborough Health and Rehab Center.  Born on July 19, 1939 in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Sheehan) Young.  She married her beloved husband, Harrison Hodge on February 11, 1956 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Hartford.  The couple made their home in Colchester where they raised their family.  Pat was a life member of the St. Joseph Polish Society where she served on various committees through the years.  She was also an active member of the Hundred Club of Connecticut, caring for families of deceased First Responders.  Most importantly, she will be remembered by her family as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her husband Harrison of 64 years; her children and their spouses, Robert (Linda) Hodge of Dallas, TX, Kevin (Cindy) Hodge of Marlborough; a brother, John Young, Jr. of Rutland, VT; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Katy, Erica, Ashley, Michelle, Lee, Stephen; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Syctkowski, a granddaughter, Jamie Syctkowski, and a sister, Sandra Barbour.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester, CT.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Sandy Peszynski Breast Cancer Foundation, 93 East High St., East Hampton, CT 06424. For online condolences, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
