He then went on to work for the Town of Glastonbury as an electrician in the maintenance department and most recently retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 42. He married his beloved wife, Maria Slusarczyk, in 1992 and they made their home in Colchester. Paul was a hard-working man whose labor of love was caring for the land and animals where he lived on Deer Creek Farm. Paul will be remembered with love by his wife of 29 years, Maria; his son Jeremy Bates and his wife Beth of Vernon; his daughter Melissa Gilgun and her husband Daniel of Billerica, MA; his grandchildren; five brothers: George “Tom” F.
