Paul Kennedy Obituary

Paul L. Kennedy, age 70, of Naugatuck and formerly of Ansonia, passed away on Friday, February 7th with his loving family by his side. Born in Derby on August 21, 1949, he was a son of the late Gerald and Josephine (Asciutto) Kennedy. As a young man, Paul met and fell in love with the woman he would spend the rest of his life with, Donna Capasso. The couple got married at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia on June 12, 1971; they made their home and started their family in Ansonia where they were blessed with two children, Ed and Jeanne. Paul was a hard worker who was employed by the City of Ansonia Public Works Department as a driver operator for over 40 years until his retirement in 2007. He was also a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church.

Paul was a people person; he could sit and talk for hours about almost anything, he was also an avid model builder, but above all, Paul was a dedicated family man who doted on his wife, children, and grandchildren, spending as much time with them as possible.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of over 48 years, Donna Kennedy; his son, Ed Kennedy of Monroe, NY; his daughter, Jeanne and her husband Pete Lisewski of Naugatuck; his grandchildren, Zoey Kennedy and Peter Lisewski of Naugatuck; his brother, Jeremiah Kennedy of Ansonia; and numerous extended family members and friends.

To honor Paul's wishes, all services will be private. Memorial donations in his name can be made to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org/donate.
