Obituary

Paul Camille Rheaume, 87, the eldest of four children born to E. Marguerite (Leger) and Camille Joseph Rheaume, died on April 9, 2023 at Comfort Care Nursing Home in Windsor, CT.  He was born on February 2, 1936, in Fitchburg, MA. He attended St. Bernard’s High School and Assumption Prep, and graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, MA, with a B.S. degree in English in 1958.  He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.  He travelled extensively in Europe while singing with a trio. He taught high school English at Lyman Memorial High School in Lebanon, CT., and then for nearly 30 years at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, MA.  He later earned his Masters Degree from Fitchburg State College.   He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Louise Phyllis (Padewski) Rheaume, his brother David and family of Fitchburg, his son Arthur Jankowski and his wife Kristin of California, his daughter Phyllis MacCutcheon and her husband Richard of Bloomfield, CT., and six grandchildren: Eric Jankowski and his wife Emily, and Mark Jankowski, all of California, Samantha, Justin, and Tyler Gonzales of New Mexico, and Hannah Gonzales of Wisconsin, and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Jacqueline Philip, predeceased him in 1999. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. April 22, 2023, at New Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, CT.  Please omit flowers.  Contributions may be sent to The Angelman Syndrome Foundation in honor of Justin and Tyler Gonzales.
