Peter Thomas of Ocala, FL (previously from Colchester, CT) has gone to heaven after his battle with cancer.  He was born on July 30, 1939 in Mars Hill, Maine to Marjorie (Lello) and Francis Thomas.  Peter passed August 21, 2023.  Peter enlisted in the Navy straight from high school.  From there he became a certified sprinkler fitter/welder.  He enjoyed various hobbies which included: woodworking, fishing, water skiing, marksmanship, Harley’s and muscle cars.  He was an artist (birds and cartoon characters were a specialty).  Master of games (not limited to): Sudoku, Tetris and cribbage.  Peter was a Christian and attended The Way Independent Christian Church in Ocala.  He was devoted to his family and his friends.  Peter is survived by his wife Charlotte (Gleason) and two daughters:  Tammie and her husband Shawn Cote from Pennsylvania and their son David and his wife Leslie Cote from Maryland and grandsons Owen, Macklin and Brody from Connecticut.  He was predeceased by his grandson Dustin Cote.  Traci Thomas and her daughter Jessica McComiskey and partner Christopher Gronback with their children Bree and Pierce and Traci’s daughter Kristen and husband Josh Kvasnik.  All from Connecticut.
