Ricardo Luis Rosado, of Colchester, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, peacefully in his own home with his family at his side. Ricardo was born December 23, 1947,in Cerba, Puerto Rico. He was 75 years old. Ricardo was the son of the late Ricardo and Maria (Para) Rosado. Ricardo was a proud veteran serving as Chief in the United States Navy for 26 years; He served his country during the Vietnam War, as well as Desert Storm. In September of 1999 Ricardo married the love of his life, Rita (Duval) Rosado. The couple went on to spend the next 24 years together. Ricardo loved to spend time with his wife and children, whether it be for a long walk outdoors, or the annual May trip to Daytona Beach. Ricardo will be remembered by all who knew him for his generous, kind, loving demeanor, and impeccable style, often flawlessly coordinating his outfits with his beloved wife’s. Ricardo will be profoundly missed by all who knew him especially by his family; wife, Rita (Duval) Rosado; Children, Brian and wife Yvette Skeels, Renee and husband Barry Petruzzi, Robert and wife Cynthia Skeels, Christine and husband Vincent Talia, Rebecca and husband Daniel Clark, Kelly Rosado, Ivette Cristobal; grandchildren, Ian, Mathew, Samantha, Hannah, Alexander, Valerie, Jacob, Gabriella, Joseph, Kayla; great-grandchildren, Robin, Jax, Cali, Wesly, Easton; cousins, Carmen Calo, Luis Pomales & Ismael Pomales, as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. A memorial service in memory of Ricardo will be held on Sunday, December 17, at 2PM. Location:  St. Mary’s Ukrainian church, 178 Linwood Avenue, Colchester, CT 06415.
