Robert Scott Evans, 68 years old, of Lake Placid Florida and formerly of Colchester, passed away at home on Friday, September 29, 2023. He was fondly known as Bob or Scott. He was born on July 18, 1955, the son of the late Robert and Geraldine (Ivers) Evans. Robert graduated from San Diego State College receiving his Journeyman’s license for steam fitting. He moved to Connecticut in 1983 when he was married to his former wife, Susan J. Evans of 28 years. He worked at Electric Boat, General Dynamics for 13 years as a pipefitter. Robert later became a skilled builder of custom motor cycles. His choppers were highly sought after and he loved riding his Harley Davidson. In his free time, Robert loved the outdoors, being near the water, boating, surfing, and watching the sunsets. Some of his fondest memories were made with his “brothers” whom he rode with through the years. Most importantly he will be remembered for his devotion to family and friends.
