Robert "Bob" A. ManWarren Obituary

Robert Alan ManWarren, "Bob", 79, of Hebron, passed away April 16, 2026. He was born September 20, 1946, to the late Lavern and Anita Blanco ManWarren.

After graduating from Eastern Connecticut State University and teaching in Tolland, he served in the U.S. Air Force from December 22, 1969, to May 28, 1979, retiring as a Captain. He was an Instructor Weapon Systems Officer in the F-4 Phantom, he flew combat with the 308th Tactical Fighter Squadron Emerald Knights of the Wolfpack at Ubon, Thailand, for 396 days. He earned the Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal with two Campaign Stars, and his unit received two Presidential Unit Citations. He was later Nuclear Qualified as an Air Operations Officer. His service spanned seven countries with over four years overseas.

He later worked as a Banking executive. Bob was a lifetime member of St. Peters Church in Hebron, and a longtime member of the Lions Club and even served as President. He loved the Red Sox and UConn Huskies.

Bob is survived by his sister, Anne Saccoccia; his nephews, Eric McCue, Brett McCue; Anthony Saccoccia; his niece, Gaetana Tani Desrocher; and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Janice McCue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on April 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at St. Peters Church, Hebron. A burial with Full Military Honors will follow at St. Peters Cemetery. For online condolences, or to share a story of Robert, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com.
