Roma Martin Fauteux, of Lebanon, beloved husband of the late Annette Yvette (Soucy) Fauteux, passed away on May 26, 2024, at Apple Rehab Center in Colchester where he had recently been residing.  He was 89 years old. 

Roma was born in St. Malo, Quebec in Canada on March 27, 1935, a son of the late Desiré and Rose (Duranleau) Fauteux.  He married his loving wife, Annette Soucy, on June 18, 1960, in Canada.  Soon after, the couple moved to Lebanon, CT where they made their home and raised their daughters.  He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Lebanon and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was also a member of the St. Joseph Polish Society in Colchester. 

Roma retired several years ago after a long and successful career as a factory worker, professional truck driver, and carpenter.  He enjoyed golfing, listening to French music, and going to Florida during the winter months.  Most importantly, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. All of whom will mourn his passing but always remember him with love. 

He leaves his cherished daughters, Ginette Czerwienski (Henry) and Pierrette Proctor (Michael), all of Lebanon; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Czerwienski (Gabrielle), Shaina Proctor, and his adored great-grandson, Henry T. Czerwienski, all of Lebanon; his siblings, Rejean Fauteux (Fernande), Bernard Fauteux (Fernande), Jacques Fauteux (Gyslaine), Roger Fauteux, Micheline Fauteux, Alain Fauteux, and Daniel Fauteux; his sister-in-law, Diane Fauteux; a host of Soucy family in-laws; and many other extended family members and friends. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Roma was predeceased by his brother, Julien; his sister, Rose-Helen; his sisters-in-law, Lise and Diane; and his brothers-in-law, Jean-Louis and Andre. 

Roma’s family will receive friends from 2-5PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester, CT 06415. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 West Town St., Lebanon.  Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Roma’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
