Ronald Benjamin Keith, 90, of Hebron, passed away at his home in Hebron on May 9, 2024. Born August 3, 1933, in Mount Holly, NJ; He was a son of the late Russell Keith Sr. and Harriet (Morse) Keith. Ronald was a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. He then served as a quartermaster in the United States Army, stationed in France. In the Army he developed his love of Europe and travel. He married his wife, the late Lora Keith in 1962, they shared over 41 years of marriage together until she predeceased him in 2002. Ronald worked as an international finance manager for the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) and General Telephone and Electronics (GTE), relocating his family temporarily to Geneva Switzerland with both companies. He retired from GTE in 1997. Ronald loved to sing and perform. He was a competitive barbershop singer with the Danbury Mad Hatters and the Manchester Silk City Chorus. He also was a long-time member of the Hebron Sunshine singers. Ronald was a man of faith and was a regular communicant of the Congregational Church of Salem. He is survived by his children, Ronald W. Keith and wife Debra Keith, Richard Keith and wife Jennifer Keith, and Allison Keith; brother Russell Keith, Jr; grandchildren Carlo, Ronald Keith III, Caitlin, Anna, Amanda and Ryan; great grandchildren Luca and Riley; and numerous other extended family and friends. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11 AM at the Congregational Church of Salem, 244 Hartford Road, Salem, CT 06420. A reception will follow immediately after the service across the street at the Christan Community Center. Burial will take place the following Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11 AM at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ridgefield, CT located at the corner of North Street and Copps Hill Rd. One of his great joys was singing and being a member of the Hebron Sunshine singers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Hebron Senior Center, care of the Sunshine Singers.
