Rosaria “Sadie” Dombroski, 90, of Colchester, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024. She was born in Norwich on December 13, 1933, to the late Louis and Frances (Fontanetta) Guarnaccia.

Sadie was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. On June 14, 1958, she was united in marriage at the old St. Andrew Church in Colchester to Thomas P. Dombroski; they were married for 61 wonderful years until his passing in 2020.

Sadie worked in the treasury department at Pratt & Whitney, as well as Ben & Leo’s Grocery and Schuster’s Express. She loved children and took immense pleasure in babysitting her grandchildren and other children in the neighborhood.

Sadie is survived by her sons, Thomas S. Dombroski and his wife, Sharon, of Old Lyme, and Robert M. Dombroski and his wife, Dawn, of Colchester; her grandchildren, Georgia, Noah, and Lucie Dombroski, and Andrea and Hillary Goldstein; her sister, Josephine Guarnaccia of Mystic; and many treasured nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the New St. Andrew Cemetery, Gillettes Lane, Colchester. A reception will follow at the St. Joseph’s Polish Society, 395 South Main St., Colchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sadie’s memory may be made to the Bacon Academy scholarship fund Inc.
