Ryan Matthew Gagne, of Colchester and recently residing in Rhode Island left us too soon on October 6, 2023. He was 32 years old. Ryan was born on March 11, 1991, in Hartford, CT, a son of Andrew and Patricia (Berard) Gagne. Ryan grew up in Colchester and graduated from Bacon Academy. With his infectious energy and genuine spirit, Ryan inspired everyone around him to let loose and be themselves. He was the bright light in any room, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. Whether it was busting a move or belting out his favorite tunes, Ryan knew how to keep the rhythm going. When he wasn’t tearing up the dance floor, Ryan found solace in the loving embrace of his family and friends. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. Some of his favorite places were along the shore of the ocean on any sandy beach. When it came to caring for someone, Ryan gave it his all, pouring his whole heart into those he held dear to him. His love for life was a testament to his spirited soul. In his professional career, Ryan was a hospitality professional who knew how to serve up smiles with every interaction. He had a knack for making people feel welcome and creating unforgettable experiences. Ryan’s legacy will live on through the love he shared with family and friends. He is survived by his doting mother, Patricia (Berard) Gagne; proud father, Andrew Gagne; supportive brother, Michael Cosgrove; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends with whom some of his favorite memories were made. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 10 am – 12 pm at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester. Following the calling hours, a celebration of Ryan’s vibrant life, will be held at the St. Joseph’s Polish Club, 395 S. Main St., Colchester where we will honor his memory in a way that would make Ryan proud. Ryan will forever be remembered as a loving family member and a friend who could turn any gathering into a joyful spectacle. While our hearts ache with his absence, we will forever cherish the memories we made with him. In the words of Ryan, meow meow for now!
