Salean Elizabeth Berninger, 40, of Colchester, and formerly of Martha’s Vineyard, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Born June 20, 1982 in Mt. Kisco, NY; she was a daughter of the late John and Tina (Laoretti) Berninger. Salean grew up in Martha’s Vineyard and worked for several years at Stop & Shop and as an At Home Health Aide. She will be remembered as a warm and loving family orientated woman who loved spending time with her nieces. Salean is survived by her daughter Destiney Berninger, son Coal Trott; sisters Amanda Berninger and Alexis Berninger; nieces Autum Nelson and Kaylee Berninger; companion Joel Trott; family friend Brianna Smith; and numerous other extended family and friends.  Care of private arrangements have been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home.
