Sally Lynn Munroe, 76, of Lebanon, passed away in the early morning of Sunday, November 24, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born June 17, 1948, in Hartford, Connecticut; she was the daughter of the late Robert & Edwina Holmes and Alinda (Lawrence) & Kenneth Haynes. Sally attended and graduated from East Hartford High School in 1966, it was during this time that she met her future husband, Ralph Munroe Jr. They married in 1969, after he returned home from an enlistment in the Marine Corp. They initially lived in East Hartford before moving to Manchester, then Coventry, and finally settling in Lebanon, where they raised their family. Throughout the years Sally worked in various professions, for a time she worked as a payroll clerk, a dental assistant, and a florist; owning her own business, Floral Impulse in Franklin. She then spent 17 years in the Lebanon school system as a food service professional, prior to retiring. She was the heart of her family, holding all gatherings at her house. She prioritized spending time with her family and was always there to lend a helping hand. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crafting, especially with her grandchildren. After she retired with her husband, they spent a lot of time camping, hiking and kayaking. She is survived by her devoted husband Ralph; children Brian and his wife Kathleen Munroe, Heather and her husband Todd Pannone; grandchildren Andrew, Devin, Ethan and Tyler; siblings Robert Holmes, Jr. and his wife Lynne Holmes, Ronald Holmes, and David Holmes; sister-in-law Nellie Holmes and mother-in-law Anna Munroe; and numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Charles Holmes, sister-in-law Wilma Holmes and father-in-law Ralph Munroe Sr. Please join us as we come together to honor and celebrate the life of Sally Munroe on March 15, 2025 at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home 167 old Hartford Rd, Colchester, CT 06415.
