In loving Memory of Salvatore Carfi (Jack). 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Carfi, who left us peacefully on October 8, 2025 at the age of 91. Jack was born on May 19, 1934 in New Britain, CT.  He brought light, humor, love and kindness into the lives of all who knew him. He lived a life filled with memorable experiences. Whether through a warm smile, a helping hand or a quiet moment of presence, Jack had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved. Jack cherished time with family and friends and found joy in storytelling, traveling to Italy, and eating out at good restaurants. In 1995, Jack and his wife Ellen opened and operated Nunu’s Bistro in Colchester, CT. They were gracious hosts and made countless friendships over the years. To all those that knew Jack, we will always remember his quick wit, gentle spirit and hard work ethic. Jack is survived by his sisters Ellen Ouellette, Linda Wilson, nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Carfi, father John Carfi, sister Rosemary Dower and brother Donald Carfi. A life celebration will be held on Thurs., October 23, 2025 at Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd. Colchester, CT between 5-7pm. All who knew and loved Jack are welcome to attend and celebrate a life so beautifully lived.
