Sara Marie Anthony, 47, passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2024, at her family's house in Salem, Connecticut. Born November 8, 1976, in Kauai, Hawaii; she was a daughter of Joseph Duncan and Anne Duncan. Sara worked for many years as a bus attendant for the M&J Bus Company where she assisted children with special needs, which she loved. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, drinking coffee and watching WFSB. Sara will be forever loved and remembered by her daughters Morgan and Hannah Anthony; parents Joseph Duncan and wife Holly Cheeseman; siblings Benjamin Duncan and wife Rei Duncan; and Elizabeth Muscarelli and husband Joe Muscarelli; and numerous other extended family and friends. Even though Sara will be missed, she will be met with open arms by her mother, Anne and all the others she cared about that are not with us anymore.

The family will hold a private memorial service for Sara in June. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sara Duncan Anthony Memorial Scholarship fund at East Lyme High School; donations by check may be made out to the East Lyme Scholarship Association with "Sara Duncan Anthony Memorial Scholarship" in the memo line and sent to: ELSA, Inc., P.O.
