Sharon Ann Galvin-Martucci, 77, of East Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at her home in East Hampton. Born July 26, 1947. She was the daughter of the late James Francis Galvin and Genevieve (Baldyga) Galvin. She worked for 35 years at CT Valley Hospital and Whiting Forensic Institute (as a Forensic Specialist) in Middletown, CT, until her retirement in 2001. In her spare time, she enjoyed going offshore fishing and spending time with her family, whom she loved more than anything.


She is survived by her husband, Joseph S. Salafia; sons Anthony J. Martucci Jr. and wife Adi V. Martucci, Jason S. Martucci and wife Tara Martucci; her stepson, Christopher Salafia; her grandchildren, Adily Martucci, Anthony J. Martucci III, Jenna E. Martucci, and Gabriel L. Martucci; brothers, James Galvin and wife Carol Galvin, and Peter Galvin; Nephews and Nieces, Henry Long, Michael Long, Lisa Galvin, Melissa Galvin, and Jennifer Galvin; and numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Gloria Long, nephew, James F. Gavin III, and sister-in-law, Linda Galvin.


Sharon held a special place in her heart for animals and faithfully donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals every month. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the A.S.P.C.A. in memory of Sharon Ann Martucci.
