Shawn is survived by his mother, Cindy Lukaszewicz (Oliver) of Lebanon, CT; his daughter, Aaliyah Cindy Castro of CA; his brothers, Stanley Lukaszewicz, III of Lebanon, CT and Michael Lukaszewicz and wife, Agnieszka of Southington, CT; his sisters, Sheri (Lukaszewicz) Berman and husband, Jeff of Hamden, CT; Michelle (Lukaszewicz) Gienau and husband Casey of Uncasville, CT; and Kimberly (Lukaszewicz) Burgess and husband, Beau of Bozrah, CT; his nieces and nephews, Calvin and Milena Lukaszewicz, Joshua and Victoria Berman, Kaylee Flowers, Alyssa Burgess, and Nora Gienau; his maternal grandparents, Charles Oliver & Catherine Cecilia (Ellis) Oliver; his beloved dog, “CuTie,” and all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous extended family members and friends.
Shawn graduated from Bacon Academy in 2004. He joined the football team his senior year of high school; having never played the game before he was an instant star. In his last game as a senior he made a 65 yard touchdown run to help his team win their first ECC Small Division victory. Following the game Shawn’s football coach, Mark Ambruso, stated “The kid just plays with heart and emotion like no one else.” That is exactly how Shawn lived his life and pursued his dreams. After graduating from high school Shawn attended Manchester Community College where he obtained his Associate’s Degree in 2007. He then went on to study Criminal Justice at Eastern Connecticut State University. Thereafter, Shawn set off to California to make his mark on the entertainment and fashion industries. In 2015 Shawn pursued a professional boxing career, getting the chance to work with Manny Pacquiao’s trainer. That was just the beginning for Shawn. Shawn also worked with Stan Lee and many other celebrities. Shawn served as both an actor and producer of several small films like American Poltergeist (2015) and Purgatory Monologues. Shawn was also a successful entertainment reporter. In 2017, he attended Festival De Cannes in Paris as press for independent film quarterly. He has interviewed emerging talent around the world for various broadcast and publications, including Independent Film Festival. Shawn was widely acknowledged as an innovative social influencer through his many entrepreneurial ventures, including his Kasluv brand of fashion glasses.
Shawn described himself as a “Great Explorer of Present Time;” he was a free-spirited, adventurous, restless, ever-wondering soul who enjoyed his time traveling and making new adventures with his forever partner-in-crime “CuTie”, meeting and making new friends and families around the world. “May your heart keep wondering but your soul rest, may your adventures never end, and may you keep your wings in the air flying free my love.”
